How long will the programme run for?

Youth Connect 5 is a five-week course made up of five two-hour sessions. Please see the booking page for dates available local to you.

Where will the sessions take place?

Sessions will be delivered in a variety of community-based settings such as community centres, schools throughout Cheshire and Merseyside.

How much does it cost to attend the programme?

The programme is funded by Champs through the Health Education Authority, and is free for parents living in Cheshire and Merseyside to attend.

Are there any requirements to attend the programme?

There are no requirements for parents/carers to attend the course, as long as you live in Cheshire or Merseyside and have children under the age of 18. However, you will be invited to complete a post-course evaluation form on completion of the last session.

Do I have to attend all five sessions?

To benefit from the full course, you need to attend to all five sessions. We will learn and explore new areas each week.

I have some concerns about my son / daughter, will this course help?

Parents will often have concerns about their child, this course will benefit you in various ways:

  • Knowing there are other parents in similar situations
  • Gaining knowledge about different approaches that parents have used
  • Be in a room with skilled professionals who will have an understanding of the types of issues you are facing, and who may be able to help you think different approaches through
  • The opportunity to learn about services that can help your family
