Date/Time
05/06/2017 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location
Eaton Bank School
Jackson Road Congleton
As parents, we develop our own approaches to nurturing, caring for and developing our children as they grow from babies through to young adults. But sometimes situations arise in life – either at home or at school – that may bring some challenges for you and your child to deal with.
Being able to deal with these challenges, and helping your child manage life when it gets tough will make them stronger and improve their chances of being able to bounce back when things are stacked against them.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, but Youth Connect 5 will teach you the skills you can then draw upon to both build your own resilience, but most importantly your child’s.
The overall aim is to promote resilience (resilient families, ways to cope and support)
- Understanding children and young people’s mental health
- Understanding wellbeing
- Understanding why we feel the way we do (emotions)
- Life skills problem-solving
The course will take place for five weeks, every Monday 6-8m beginning June 5th.
