As parents, we develop our own approaches to nurturing, caring for and developing our children as they grow from babies through to young adults. But sometimes situations arise in life – either at home or at school – that may bring some challenges for you and your child to deal with.

Being able to deal with these challenges, and helping your child manage life when it gets tough will make them stronger and improve their chances of being able to bounce back when things are stacked against them.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, but Youth Connect 5 will teach you the skills you can then draw upon to both build your own resilience, but most importantly your child’s.

During the course you will:

  1. Understand young people’s mental health
  2. Think about what makes us thrive
  3. Develop family resilience
  4. Understand why we feel the way we do
  5. Develop skills to support your children.

Developing your children’s resilience and emotional wellbeing.

The course will take place for five sessions, every Tuesday 7-9pm beginning June 20th 2017.

The same course will also be running at this venue on Wednesday from June 21st, there is a separate booking system for that event.
